Debuting on March 4th, 2000, the Sony PlayStation 2 managed to become one of the longest-running consoles in gaming history - spanning thirteen years in production.

All told, it's estimated that something in the region of 155 million units were created by Sony during its run and remains the best-selling console in history. Just over 3,800 games were released on the platform with conservative estimates suggesting that 1.5 billion games were sold since its launch.
