Cue The Offspring; 'Crazy Taxi' is the latest game to get a HD remake.

Per Bloomberg, Sega's 'Crazy Taxi' and 'Jet Set Radio' franchises will be getting HD remakes as Sega looks to cash in on the 'Fortnite' craze.

The Bloomberg report states that the Japanese developer are embarking on a project dubbed "Super Game", a game that they hope can produce vast amounts of revenue similar to 'Fortnite'.

As such, Sega are dipping into the back catalogue to find their next hit game, and has decided the time is right to revisit the worlds of 'Crazy Taxi' and 'Jet Set Radio'.

The games were released for the Sega Dreamcast all the way back in 2000, with the PS2 port of 'Crazy Taxi' ultimately proving to be more popular.

'Crazy Taxi' is famous for its punk-tinged soundtrack, with the likes of The Offspring and Bad Religion blaring from the player's radio as they embark on death-defying cab fares.

'Jet Set Radio' had to settle for cult hit status, but a HD remake of the original game in 2012 helped introduce the game to a new generation of fans.

'Jet Set Radio' was notable for being the first game to use cel-shaded graphics, a practice that has become fairly commonplace in the gaming industry thanks to the likes of 'Borderlands' and 'No More Heroes'.

Per Bloomberg, Sega have cited 'Fortnite' as the game to follow in pursuit of a consistent revenue stream and feel that 'Crazy Taxi' and 'Jet Set Radio' have enough cultural cache to fill that role for them.

The new 'Crazy Taxi' has already been in development for over a year and Bloomberg reports Sega "aims to release it within two to three years."

Last year, Sega and Microsoft announced they have teamed up for a "strategic alliance" which will see Sega and Microsoft share cloud computing resources.

With Sega looking to spare no expense to revive their beloved franchises, we hope this means they'll spring for the original soundtrack.

Yah yah yah yah!
