Clive Barker: one time horror film mogul, all time nutter! I said it before and I'll say it again: filmmakers do not make good game makers. Jericho reveals all the occult neo-religious nonsense inside our Clive's head. He must be great gas at dinner parties!
The story follows a group of wiccans (good witches, for non-Buffy fans,) who are also an elite commando unit. They travel the world, blowing the bejaysus out of demons with an assortment of weapons, from guns and swords to fire demons and blood curses. Playing the first level, my heart sank; there only seemed to be only one enemy repeatedly respawning, there was no choice of weapons and the level was completely linear. Hang in there, though, it does improve - but in the words of Paul Daniels, 'not a lot!'.
This is a team based FPS, so instead of changing weapons you change characters. Great idea, well-executed, grand. The storyline is gory and creepy with good graphics and good ambience, grand. However, the levels are uninteresting, as are the enemies - I found it very difficult to care what was happening, and in the end put it down and went and watched telly.
Looking for an FPS fix, this will tide you over - but not for long.
