For whatever reason, the makers of 'Assassin's Creed' have permanently opted to stay as far away as they can from the time period everybody wants.
We are, of course, talking about Japan's Edo period and the height of the samurai power - but, instead, we're getting Ancient Greece for the next 'Assassin's Creed' entry. The news was confirmed late last night after a series of leaks precipitated Ubisoft making a short announcement trailer that looked all too familiar for anyone who's seen Zack Snyder's '300'.

Evidently, the full trailer and some details will be announced at E3 in the coming weeks and our guess is much of the same from 'Assassin's Creed' and the heavy lore involved with it.
