The gaming franchise that successfully launched skateboarding into the mainstream and helped to turn Tony Hawk into a household name is now the subject of a new documentary called 'Pretending I'm Superman', in reference to the song by Goldfinger on the game's soundtrack.

The documentary tracks Hawk's original premise for the game, the game's producers and developers, and more importantly, how the game brought skateboarding out from the underground and into the mainstream in just a few short years - all down to the game's massive popularity and success.

Hawk announced the documentary's premiere at the Mammoth Film Festival this coming week, with the documentary itself likely to be online in some shape or form in the coming weeks thereafter.
