At this year's PlayStation showcase, there were a number of very exciting developments announced, including that 'Marvel's Wolverine' is on the way.

'Marvel's Wolverine' will be created by Insomniac Games for PlayStation 5 in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation.

Though it is only in development, PlayStation were able to unveil a teaser trailer for the Marvel game.

The standalone game is being directed by Brian Horton (creative director) and Cameron Christian (game director), who led the creative efforts on hit video game 'Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales'.

'Marvel’s Wolverine' is still only very early in development, but it's been described as having "emotional narrative and cutting-edge gameplay."

Ray Schneider, Head of Franchise Strategy & Studio Relations, Insomniac Games, also announced that 'Marvel’s Spider-Man 2' will mark another Marvel titles coming from Insomniac Games.

It continues the journey of Peter Parker and Miles Morales and will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 consoles in 2023.

Much of the development team that brought you 'Marvel’s Spider-Man' are back to produce 'Marvel’s Spider-Man 2'.

These include Bryan Intihar (creative director) and Ryan Smith (game director).

Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter will reprise their roles as Peter and Miles, respectively. Tony Todd of 'Candyman' fame joins them to voice the iconic villainous Venom.

Comparing the upcoming 'Wolverine' and 'Spider-Man' games, Schneider says: "our goal here is to not only respect the DNA of what makes the character so popular, but also look for opportunities to make it feel fresh and truly reflect the Insomniac spirit."
