Swiss luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer has teamed up with Nintendo to make a set of 'Mario Kart' themed watches.

For gamers or oligarchs with a bottomless wallet, the watch line, named TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Limited Edition will set you back €26,000 for the higher-end model and around €4,400 for the more widely available model.

The more expensive of the watches, the Tourbillon Chronograph, is limited to 250 in total, while the typical Chronograph model is limited to 3000 units.

We won't pretend to be experts on watches or know what TAG Heuer are talking about when they talk about titanium casings, but suffice to say the watches are absolutely gorgeous.

Both watches come with a black strap with red stitches, and the famous Mario M mark is on the buckle.

We haven't the foggiest what a "skeletonised tri-compax dial showcasing moving Mario Kart elements” means, apart from 'Mario Kart', but with the Swiss watchmakers in the business for over 160 years, you can be sure you're getting the best watches money can buy with a 'Mario' touch.

TAG Heuer and Nintendo teamed up earlier this year for a limited run of 2000 digital watches with a 'Mario' flavour, and the run promptly sold out.

The watches cost over €2,200, but quickly sold out, which shows that there is demand for 'Mario' themed watches.

As for when fans can expect new 'Mario Kart' action, we may have to wait a while, with 2017's 'Mario Kart 8' still being supported with DLC for Nintendo Switch.

A new 'Mario Kart' title is likely to be included as a game for Nintendo's possible next possible console, which is said to include 4K capability.
