Since 1995, the Electronic Entertainment Expo has been the go-to source for all-things video-games related. Basically, E3 is to games what Comic-Con has become to movies, somewhere to get a first look at what will undoubtedly be consuming your entire laugh a few months from now.

But 2013's E3 looks set to be the most interesting and attention grabbing yet, and that's because Sony and Microsoft will be pretty much going head to head with their PlayStation 4 and X-Box One reveals. Both companies have already had their individual announcements, but after both receiving some SEVERE backlash for showing off just how social network-y their new systems will be, they both kinda forgot to mention anything about the games. Y'know, the stuff people buy the systems for in the first place!

Both Sony and Microsoft will be looking to remedy that, as the confirmed line-up for E3 games show'n'tells is staggering.

Okay, deep breath, here's what we can expect to show up and show off their wears:
Assassin's Creed 4, Batman: Arkham Origins, Battlefield 4, Call Of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny, Dying Light, FIFA '14, Final Fantasy Reborn, InFamous: Second Son, Killzone: Mercenary, Metal Gear Solid V, Need For Speed: Rivals, Rain, Quantum Break, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, The Evil Within, Thief, Watch Dogs...

And that's just the one's we're guessing, not even thinking of some of the lesser known titles that may yet blow us away, or any number of secret, as of yet unannounced games that they've got up their sleeves.

On top of that, we should anticipate further announcements from Sony and Microsoft about their upcoming consoles, hopefully this time focusing a little more on the games and less on the players.

Running from June 11th to 13th, keep checking back in with entertainment.ie to stay up to date on all the latest gaming news!

Watch out for: Sony's press conference tonight from 2am Irish time - we have the live video stream here. If you miss it live, the announcements will be repeated during the day.
