The piece explores in a darkly comic way the notion of acceptability and how newcomers to land can experience varying degrees of acceptance depending on where they have come from and how they assimilate to a new culture by abandoning their own. Taking the form of a competition to decide who is acceptable, Uprooted explores prejudices and asks what we are afraid of.
