Hinterland Festival returns to the heritage town of Kells from 26–29 June 2025 with a packed four-day programme of more than 50 events, including author interviews, history talks, live music, art installations, and a dedicated children’s literature programme. The festival will welcome acclaimed authors and contributors including Martin Sixsmith, John Banville, John Boyne, Lara Marlowe, Kevin Barry, Roisín O’Donnell, Jack Lukeman, and many more. Highlights also include the annual Type Trail art installation series, led by artist Mark Smith, and the much-loved Lit Crawl. A must for lovers of books, ideas and culture.
