Following a sold out production in Kill in October, Kill Musical and Dramatic Society is delighted to bring The Field by John B. Keane to The Moat Theatre on 21st and 22nd February, 2020.
The Field tells the story of the hardened Irish farmer “Bull” Mc Cabe and his love for the land he rents. He holds the village of Carraigthomand in fear of him and is none too pleased when the field’s owner, the elderly widow Maggie Butler, decides to sell it to the highest bidder. Using emotional and physical threats and blackmail, The Bull sets about to make sure he will be the only bidder.
Directed by Laura Sheehan, Assistant Director David Dunne, with original music composed by Sandie Purcell.
