Dublin-based soul artist Danny Groenland celebrates his new album ‘burning rome’ by bringing his 9-piece band to the Sugar Club this May 9th. This is a concept album focussing on issues like climate change, the environment, war, inequality, homelessness and police brutality. These songs are inspired by the classic soul singers such as Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Expect music for the mind and for the feet, brought to life by a superb band of top funk and jazz players including backing vocals and a horn section. Support on the night comes from Meghan Murray.
