Throughout the year, the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras (IAYO) facilitates, and encourages, collaboration between young musicians across Ireland and then unites them in February each year on the National Concert Hall stage for a thrilling, two-part programme, presented by a young and dynamic musical community. This year, the annual showcase of the very best in the Irish Youth Orchestra community will feature Music Matters Orchestras from East Galway, Julianstown Youth Orchestra from Co. Meath, Scoil Úna Naofa Violin & Orchestra Project from Crumlin in Dublin, Belevedere College Symphony Orchestra from Dublin City at the 3pm concert and Nós Nua - Louth Youth Folk Orchestra from Co. Louth, Ceol na Mara Orchestra from Co. Limerick, Athenry Music School Camerata from Co. Galway and Cork Youth Orchestra from Cork City at 8pm. It is a unique opportunity for audiences to see more than 400 talented young musicians from around Ireland perform classical works and arrangements for youth orchestra in a variety of styles.
