Fresh from his first win at the Grammy’s as part of the songwriting team behind SZA’s ‘Saturn’, Cork singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot has announced his first headline show in Dublin’s 3Arena on Saturday 20th December 2024.
It’s been two years since Ducrot released his debut album Victory to widespread acclaim. Recorded in Paris in 2022, Victory reached the number 1 spot on both the Irish and UK Album charts and pushed Ducrot to another level, selling out shows across both Europe and the US, including two sold-out sets at Dublin’s St. Anne’s Park and Cork’s Virgin Media Park last summer.
Raised in Cork, Cian was surrounded by music growing up and soon excelled himself, learning piano, classical guitar, saxophone, percussion, drums, violin and the flute. He studied at London’s Royal Academy of Music from the age of nine and soon felt split between his classical training and his desire to make pop music. He continued his studies while writing songs and posting on social media, but his mind was made up following a successful songwriting camp in Los Angeles.
