A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future. Much loved but little understood Jack Torrance, brilliantly portrayed by Jack Nicholson in this award winning cult classic horror film, is a master class in the complex descent of one man into madness and the corresponding escalating fear experienced by his trapped wife and family.

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion.
