The Outing - The world's first LGBT matchmaking festival - has set its sights on a world record and it’s one you won't want to miss. They're going to attempt to break the record for the World's Longest Line of Dancing Drag Queens and Kings.

This attempt has the potential to be the most entertaining world record attempt you’ll ever witness / take part in. What's more, they're also going to be raising money for two fantastic charities: The Irish Cancer Society and BeLonGTo. Participants will be dressing as the opposite sex with wigs and full make-up all for fun, dancing to a routine prepared by our guess drag performers at The Outing.

Mark Mellett, Head of Fundraising at the Irish Cancer Society said: ''We wish all those involved in The Outing the very best of luck with this fun, new event which promises to go down in history with it's vivacious world record attempt. We are grateful that The Outing is supporting the Irish Cancer Society. All funds raised for the Society will go towards the provision of vital services to cancer patients and their families across the country. This support is essential to our success, to best support those and affected by cancer in Ireland.''

Lisdoonvarna, a town of only 800 residents in County Clare, Ireland are welcoming The Outing with open arms and now they’ll also be taking part in all the fun too! Heading down to Lisdoonvarna for 'The Pink Weekend' (this is what the locals are calling it) are The Outing crew including Ireland's famous drag queen Panti Bliss and Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh among others.

The Outing weekend will run from 30 August to 1 September. For more information go to or book tickets via the links below:
