Daytripper, the event of the summer in the South East, is back for another brilliant run at a purpose built site at Bolton Street in Waterford on the first weekend of July (4th - 6th) - and it’s shaping up to be a glorious weekend of music. Headlining this year are the inimitable Kaiser Chiefs, Ireland's adoptive son, David Gray and the one and only Paloma Faith.
There will be five hours of continuous (and totally infectious) live music from 6 - 11pm each day. The line-up certainly is impressive - kicking things off on Friday are Waterford's very own Kodakid. Following them are The Hot Sprockets and O Emporer with Hermitage Green and Walking on Cars hitting the main stage before Kaiser Chiefs close the first night.
Audiences on Saturday can expect to be enthralled by Susan O'Neill & The Low Standards, Corner Boy, Propeller Palms, Booka Brass Band, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott (from the Beautiful South) and headline act David Gray. Hogan, Solar Taxi, King Kong Company, Cathy Davey and James play on Sunday with Paloma Faith bringing the festival to a close.
Taking place in the beautiful setting of Waterford City, this is intimate summer music festival is not to be missed. Tickets are on sale now, day tickets are only €37.50 and weekend tickets cost €90. For more information visit www.daytripper.ie
