The Temple House Music & Arts festival is an eclectic micro music festival which promises to be a little bit different…
Live music from a host of Irish and international acts will be the core source of entertainment, complimented by poetry readings, face painting, holistic therapies, art exhibitions, farmers’ market, vintage clothes and jewellery fair plus a plethora of other carefully selected attractions.
The Temple House Festival was named “Best New Festival” at the European Festival Awards, the only Irish festival in the Best New Festival category and competed against festivals from all over Europe.
The first Temple House Music & Arts Festival took place in the grounds of the Temple House Estate, near Ballymote in Sligo from 10-12 September 2010. The festival had an eclectic line-up of music including alternative & indie rock, reggae, funk, blues, soul, dance, roots, folk, trad, electro and rock & roll. Over 80 acts including The Wailers, Howard Jones, NYPC, The Undertones, Damien Dempsey, The Walls, The Stunning, The Sawdoctors, O Emperor, Bipolar Empire, The Shoos, RSAG, Miracle Bell, Peter Hook and Terry Hall and entertained almost 4,000 music fans over 3 days.
This years festival takes place from the 10th to the 12th June 2011.
