Seaweed Days in Sligo combines the expertise of internationally acclaimed seaweed expert Dr. Prannie Rhatigan, (from Sligo), with the award winning cuisine and hospitality of 18th Century Coopershill House in a two day course.

Participants meet at Coopershill for an introduction to seaweeds by Dr. Rhatigan, then transfer to a local beach to identify seaweeds. Evening brings a four course dinner with live harp music/local lore in Coopershill House, which has a direct and historic connection with the famous 18th Century harp composer, Turlough O'Carolan.

Day two starts with a hearty breakfast, followed by a visit to the ancient middens in Strandhill, after which the sleeves get rolled up for an afternoon of seaweed cookery in Mullaghmore. Aperitif is served as participants enjoy an evening 90 minute guided cruise in Donegal Bay, after which a three course buffet prepared from Irish Seaweed Kitchen recipes will be served in Eithna's waterfront restaurant in Mullaghmore Harbour.
