The 2013 Irish Bog Snorkelling Championships challenges participants to swim a 120 metre strip of bog using snorkel and flipper power only in the fastest time possible. Based outside Castleblayney in County Monaghan, this unique event ticks all the boxes for anyone who wants a challenge.

In this event no conventional swimming strokes are allowed, you must use flipper power only. There is also a junior race which is 1 length (60 metres). While you are waiting to compete you can relax in the bog jacuzzi or try out the 40 feet mud slide.
