There's nowhere quite like Galway in the summer, but this weekend there's even more of a reason to go as the city hosts its second annual Feminist Festival, The F Word.

The festival actually gets underway today and will have a full programme of events that will take place in venues all around the city for the next five days.

The event is organised by Galway Feminist Collective and is set to "explore some of the faces of feminism and related topics through participatory workshops, a 'Reclaim the Night' march, a day of meditation and relaxation, comedy, storytelling, music and a whole lot more".

Have a look at some of the main events happening over the next few days below, while you can find out more info on Facebook here and use the event hashtag #GalwayFemFest on Twitter.
