Bake Fest Galway in association with Goodness Cakes and ACT for Meningitis will be a two-day national extravaganza and must for all baking (and cake-eating!) enthusiasts, taking place in Leisureland, Galway on Saturday, 5th and Sunday, 6th of October. As well as some scrumptious exhibitions, competitions and tasty treats across the entire weekend, some of Ireland’s most notable celebrity bakers and food writers are delighted to be showcasing their culinary prowess at Bake Fest Galway.

Renowned baking talents Catherine Leyden (TV3 and Odlums), Patrick Ryan (Author and Presenter BBC2 ‘Big Bread Experiment’), Lilly Higgins (Author and Columnist) and Emer Murray (Goya’s) will demonstrate the skills, tips and tricks used to make the finest cakes and breads.

All funds generated at Bake Fest Galway are being given to ACT for Meningitis. ACT for Meningitis is a non-profit organisation established in 2011 by Siobhán and Noel Carroll, who in 2008 lost their precious daughter Aoibhe - aged 4 - to meningitis. Since losing Aoibhe, Siobhán and Noel believe there is an urgent need to increase awareness and educate people around the signs and symptoms of Meningitis. The charity also assists those affected by the illness.
