Hurray, it's finally summer (in name only at the moment but feck it we're wearing our sandals and sun-screen anyway) and the folks at Forbidden Fruit are reminding us that the season has begun by announcing their comedy line-up for this year's Festival.
Foil Arms and Hog, Colm O'Regan, Jarlath Regan, John Colleary, Bec Hill, Kevin Gildea, Andrew Stanley and Patrick McDonnell are just some of the funny people hitting the stage at Forbidden Fruit 2014, which takes place over the June Bank Holiday Weekend - that's only a month away, in case you've somehow forgotten that this weekend is the May Bank Hol.
The Comedy Tent is always the best place to be when you need to take a break from the music (which is truly rockin' this year as you well know - Flaming Lips anyone? Bell X1? Wild Beasts?) although there's a good chance you'll have to make some difficult decisions. You'll know what I'm on about when you read the full comedy line-up below:
Saturday, May 31st - MC Andrew Stanley, Kevin Gildea, Patrick McDonnell, Donal Vaughan, Eric Lalor, Niamh Marron, Paul Tylak, James Golsbury, Bec Hill and John Colleary.
Sunday, June 1st - MC Andrew Stanley, Rory O Hanlon, Danny Dowling, Jarlath Regan, Patser Murray, Colm Tyrell, FF Talent Search Winner, Tom O'Mahony, Colm O'Regan and Foil Arms and Hog.
Forbidden Fruit takes place on May 31st and June 1st on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Tickets cost €59.50 for a general day pass or €110.00 for the full weekend and can be bought from usual outlets.
