Conceived and performed by Fearghus Ó Conchúir
What does it take to recover? What happens after collapse? Cure is a new solo for Fearghus Ó Conchúir, choreographed by six artists and performers with whom he's worked in recent years. Cure is about overcoming difficulties, about what’s needed to survive and about the journey in hope as much as the arrival. Wondering what’s next, it invites us to look for the way ahead, and assembles the wisdom and creativity of others to take the next steps.
The project is unique in its continuation and transformation of the successful partnership between Fearghus and the exceptional creative team involved in his major work from 2011, Tabernacle. Fearghus has commissioned each of the 5 Tabernacle performers as well as the artist Sarah Browne to make a short new choreography for him. With the artists, Fearghus assembles the six pieces into an evening-length work, Cure, that premiered in the Dublin Dance Festival in May 2013.
Choreographers: Mikel Aristegui, Sarah Browne, Elena Giannotti, Stéphane Hisler, Bernadette Iglich, Matthew Morris and Fearghus Ó Conchúir
The show contains moments of male frontal nudity.
