It's been one of the most successful stage musicals of the modern era, not to mention one of the funniest.

The good news for Irish fans is that the hugely popular 'The Book of Mormon' is returning for another run at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in 2025.

The show's return to Irish shores has been teased on social media and on advertising billboards around the city in recent weeks, but this morning it was confirmed that the musical will hit the theatre from April 1st to May 3rd 2025.

The show, which was created by 'South Park''s Trey Parker and Matt Stone alongside 'Avenue Q' creator Robert Lopez, follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s a long way from their home in Salt Lake City.

It first premiered in New York in 2011 and has since been performed on three continents, won nine Tony Awards and smashed long-standing box office records in New York, London, Melbourne, Sydney and cities across the U.S.

Tickets from €21.50 go on general sale through Ticketmaster at 9am this Friday, 26 July.
