A wedding like any other. A dashing groom, a happy bride, a trusted friend and a mad sister. Vows have been exchanged, everybody enjoyed the meal, and now the music is pumping. People are having the time of their life, hardly remembering that a wedding happened at all. But what if the real heart of the party was happening somewhere else - in a small hotel room where, as cocaine becomes indistinguishable from sugar and laughter, four happy people go hide themselves before the climax, never to get out again? What drove them to hide, and what is now keeping them from returning to the party? Maybe the event has brought out what their subconscious was supposed to keep forever locked away: jealousy, envy, ideals, saintliness, drug taking - from dusk till dawn. The Wedding Party is a surreal production by the exciting new theatre company Balthazar Productions.
