Wonder Woman isn’t even out in cinemas yet – it hits the big screen here in Ireland on the 2nd of June – but it would seem that a sequel is already in the pipeline.
Producer Zack Snyder reportedly confirmed it on the red carpet in Shanghai where the film premiered this week.
Meanwhile, producer Deborah Snyder is reported to have said that Warner Bros’ next female-driven superhero movie will be Batgirl, which Joss Whedon is directing.
In this case, Batgirl will be produced ahead of Gotham City Siren, the Suicide Squad spin-off. It also means it could still be a while before we see Wonder Woman 2.
A Twitter user who attended the Wonder Woman press event in Shanghai broke the news.

According to the Toronto Sun, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins already has ideas for where the character could go next: "I'm excited for her to come to America and become the Wonder Woman we are all familiar with from having grown up around her as an American superhero. I'd like to bring her a little farther along into the future and have a fun, exciting storyline that is its own thing.
"Wonder Woman 1 is so much about her becoming the person she is. I can't wait to spring forward with who she is and have another great standalone superhero film."
