There had been rumours of tension on set between it's two biggest stars but given the tone of the first poster and trailer for Fast & Furious 8, perhaps it was just method acting?
The poster which was released last night plays up the notion of all not being well between The Rock and Vin Diesel.
Something that continues in the explosive first trailer.
What do you do when the last movie leaves the whole team in a seemingly harmonious place? Have one of them betray the rest of them of course. Dom (Vin Diesel) is playing with the bad guys. In particular, Charlize Theron's mysterious villain known only as Cipher.
That leaves the rest of the team, which includes (deep breath) The Rock, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Kurt Russell, Scott Eastwood, Nathalie Emmanuel, Lucas Black, and Elsa Pataky, no choice but to break Jason Statham out of prison to help them take Dom down.
The drama (and insanely well executed action set pieces) will all play out when the film is released on April 14th.
