It may not be a solution to all the world's problems but it is a nice two and a half minute escape from it all.

As we barrel towards release day, it's becoming more and more apparent that Disney are really sticking to the original formula as much as possible in their 2017 live-action remake of the 1991 Academy Award winning film.

The new trailer is basically a play-by-play of the entire film but we do finally get glimpses at the musical numbers the original is famous for, with 'Be Our Guest', 'Belle', 'Gaston' and, of course, 'Beauty and the Beast' and that iconic ballroom dance. The film will also boast several new songs written by eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the 1991 animated film, and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice. So expect to hear children screaming those for the next year.

And in case you're wondering, yes, that is Ariana Grande and John Legend you hear doing the 2017 version of Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson's take on the title song. We assume Emma Thompson will be doing the Mrs. Potts version during the actual film.

'Beauty and the Beast' is set for release in Irish cinemas on March 17th.
