It's been said many times, but it really does bear repeating - Face/Off is the kind of film you'd come up with if you're on drugs.
Ripping your face off and grafting it over yours so that you can convince the brother of a terrorist to tell you where a nuclear bomb is located? That's gibberish about nine or ten lines deep into cocaine, and just the kind of thing that would have been easily greenlighted in the '90s.
Throw in Cage and Travolta, and John Woo, and you've got pure insanity with lots of doves and slow-motion making it seem even more grandiose and over-the-top.
Take a look.
