You just know when you see Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen together on screen that the Oscar nominations aren't going to be far behind.
What's interesting about 'Green Book', other than the premise, is the fact that Peter Farrelly - one half of the Farrelly Brothers - is directing this. For those who don't remember (and shame on you for doing so), the Farrelly Brothers directed 'Dumb & Dumber', 'Me, Myself & Irene', 'There's Something About Mary', and 'Kingpin', so this is definitely a departure from the norm.
The story follows an Italian-American bouncer called Tony (who eventually went on to become famous character Tony Lip, who was Carmine Lupertazzi in 'The Sopranos') and concert pianist Don Shirley, who hires Tony as his chaffeur as he embarks on a concert tour across the Deep South during the '60s and the height of civil unrest.
The movie arrives in Irish cinemas on February 8th, 2019.
