Never ever let it be said that covering the feud between Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson isn't its own reward - because you get moments like this right here.

To those who aren't up on the celebrity feud of 2017, here's a quick recap - Tyrese Gibson is essentially pissed off with Dwayne Johnson accepting a deal with Universal to make a spin-off movie about his character from the Fast and Furious franchise. The film effectively means that the ninth - repeat, NINTH - film in the franchise has been pushed back to 2019 to accommodate The Rock's solo venture.

Gibson claims that he and Ludacris were offered their own spin-off movie, but turned it down because they felt it'd disrupt the franchise and that the cast are a family - and family don't do spinoffs. Going back further still, there was beef between Tyrese and The Rock seemingly from the first day on set, but the aforementioned is the reason for their latest beef.

So, the latest with it all is that Tyrese Gibson has effectively put an ultimatum on the table to Universal and the producers of Fast and Furious 9. In a lengthy Instagram post, Gibson said that "if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce (sic)". In a later Instagram post, Tyrese even cropped The Rock out of a picture of him and Paul Walker.

Here's that post, just to illustrate Gibson's beef even further.

So, what has The Rock or the producers of Fast and Furious 9 said about all this? Well, so far, nothing - and it's most likely that they will, in fact, say nothing about it. Not to put too fine a point on it, but nobody really cares if Tyrese Gibson doesn't show up in Fast and Furious 9 and it's not as if people were ever lining up to see a spin-off with him and Ludacris. Dwayne Johnson, whether Gibson likes it or not, is a box office draw and giving him his own spin-off movie is sure to make money.

Whether Tyrese Gibson decides to turn up for the ninth Fast and Furious film or not remains to be seen, but don't - for one second - think that this is the last you've read about this feud. In about twenty years time, you're going to have a Ryan Murphy-produced season of Feud that'll cover all of this.
