After 75 years, Wonder Woman is finally getting her own film and it's about damn time.
Easily the most recognisable female comic-book character in existence, Diana Prince / Wonder Woman was previously portrayed by Lynda Carter in the '70s TV show. However, as we saw yesterday, it looks like Gal Gadot has really got the essence of the character down.
Many draw parallels between Wonder Woman and Superman, in that they're symbolic characters of the goodness of humanity and what we could be if we weren't such assholes to one another. They have, of course, teamed up a number of times in the comics and many suspect that there'll be some sort of nod to this fact in the upcoming Justice League.
In yesterday's trailer for Wonder Woman, eagle-eyed fans caught a sneaky little reference to Superman - specifically Richard Donner and Christopher Reeve's iteration of Superman. The scene involves Wonder Woman darting her bracelets to deflect a bullet away from Chris Pine and, as fans clocked, it looked a bit familiar.

Yes, even the glasses and jacket look the same and it's in an alleyway. There's no way that wasn't intentional, to be honest, and it's a nice little nod by Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot to the history of comic-book movies.
