For the third year in a row Robert Downey Jr. has topped the list of the world's highest paid actors , with his role as Iron Man in the latest Avengers film earning him a staggering $80 million, but that's not the most surprising thing on the list.

Four of the top 10 actors were mainly based outside of the U.S. with Jackie Chan pulling in $50 million from the films he made in China, while three Bollywood stars also made the list. 

Chan had huge success with his film 'Dragon Blade' which has already earned $120 million despite awaiting a European and American release, while Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar all made over $30 million through their roles in Bollywood films. The trio earned the 7th, 8th, and 9th spots on the rundown.

The rest of the list is as you would expect, with Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, and Mark Wahlberg making up the rest, although it might be a surprise to some to see Adam Sandler placed at 5th, but his recent four picture deal with Netflix has surely played a part in that.
