The world may be burning, but awards season proceeds as normal - and let's face it, we could do with a distraction.
The Screen Actors' Guild Awards took place in Los Angeles last night, with many of the actors that took to the podium using it as a platform to speak out against Donald Trump and his policies.
Winners included John Lithgow for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Netflix series The Crown, Emma Stone baggied Best Female Actor in a Lead Role for La La Land while Denzel Washington beat the favourite Casey Affleck to Best Male Actor for his role in Fences.
