A Suicide Squad fan intends to sue Warner Bros. and DC Comics for 'false advertising' dude to the lack of scenes involving The Joker in the finished film.
Jared Leto recently admitted that there are enough deleted Joker scenes to make up a full movie but he probably didn't expect any fans to take legal action over it.
Leto's Joker was at the forefront of all of the movie's advertising, however he only appears in roughly fifteen of the movie's 130 minute running time.
Redditor BlackPanther2016 has threatened to begin legal action later this week, claiming that teasing Joker scenes in trailers that don't make the final film, amounts to "unjust false advertising".
The fan goes on to argue that he drove 300 miles from Scotland to London to watch "specific scenes they had explicitly advertised in their TV ads…and they didn't show them to me."
He adds that he attempted to secure a refund from the cinema owners but was laughed out of the building.
“I told the theatre about this unjust act and said ‘I didn’t get what I came here to see, can I have my money back?’ They laughed at me and kicked me out."
He says he's taking legal action to get his refund but in addition wants £160 for fuel money as well as compensation for the trauma he suffered from being laughed at by the cinema owners.

Suicide Squad is hardly the first movie to show scenes in trailers that don't end up in the finished movie so he's unlikely to be successful in any legal action should he decide to proceed with it.
