Rest easy, world, and know that a fiery comet of destruction has slipped past the gravitational pull of our planet and flown off into space.

We are, of course, talking about Sex And The City 3 and the fact that it's finally over and will threaten humanity no more. An earlier story in the Daily Mail claimed that the film was shelved due to Kim Cattrall's "outrageous demands", however Cattrall has today hit out and claimed that she never wanted to make a third film, and said as much in 2016.

Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica Parker was quizzed on the topic by Extra and said that she was "disappointed" that it wasn't happening. "We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie." No mention, however, of Cattrall's demands or whether or not there was truth in the Daily Mail's original story either.

So, what now? We just go on with our lives and try to pick up the pieces? Who wants to live in a world without a third Sex and the City?
