It's pretty much official, after the critical mauling Sex and the City 2 received, there will be no further films in the series - at least in its current form.
Kirstin Davis spoke to E! Online and said when asked about the possibility of another film: "I don't think so, not that I know of. I wish it was so that we were continuing but I don't know. We made (about) 300 million internationally. There was so much hype, not coming from us, but the media hyped it up and then they tore it down." She cautiously added, "I could be wrong. Obviously there was a time when we thought there was no movie happening so you never know. But it is not looking great."
I thought the second film was better than the first one, and neither were a patch on the series. At least there was less ponderous moping in the last one... Anyway, evidently that ship hath sailed and we'll be seeing no more - it didn't need a film in the first place.
