The comedian is known for keeping projects close to his chest and his first full length movie as director since 2001 is no different.
Filmed quietly in New York at the beginning of the year, the film centres on successful television executive Glen Topher and his relationship with daughter China, played by Chloe Grace Moretz.
In addition to C.K and Moretz, the cast will feature Pamela Adlon, John Malkovich, Charlie Day and Edie Falco. Although additional details are still sketchy, one interesting footnote is that it was shot on 35mm black and white film stock.
It is sixteen years since C.K made his feature length directing debut with ‘Pootie Tang’ which was panned by critics but developed a cult following over the years.
Other titles that will premiere at next month’s festival are Dominic Cooke’s ‘On Chesil Beach’ starring Saoirse Ronan, Brie Larson’s directorial debut ‘Unicorn Store’ and Aaron Sorkin’s ‘Molly’s Game’. (See the trailer below)
