  • We have to let you go. Thank you for taking the time to speak to us. Is there anything else you'd like to say to our viewers?

Just thank you so much guys - for being here today. Looking forward the rest of my few hours in Dublin. Enjoy The Change Up!

  • Where has been your most interesting place to visit - professionally and personally?

Bora Bora was the most beautiful place imaginable to work - I had my wife and kid with me - the resort was shut down for the film (Couples Retreat) so it was amazing! Interesting? New York is always so interesting

  • Your wikipedia page says your a fan of pig painting, is this true and if so what is it exactly?

*laughs* I have no idea what that is - might have to get online and fix that one or maybe it could be a good new hobby

  • What's your weirdest fan experience?

Eh I haven't had a whole lot of weird ones - I consider myself pretty lucky - I think I'm just famous enough to stayed employed but not enough to be in a lot of scary situations

  • What's your favourite book you've ever read?

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

  • Of all the roles you have played, which character do you most relate to?

    Michael Bluth from Arrested Development

  • Jason you are so handsome, do you feel pressure to stay looking good in Hollywood?

Thank you but I think you have over stated it a little there - I mean no - I don't make my money based on my looks - if I did I would feel the pressure then. I make it by being funny and there is nothing funny about a six pack

  • you've obviously worked with michael cera lot. what's he like to work with, and what's he like on set?

He is incredibly nice and not as naieve as the character. I'm looking forward to hanging out with him hopefully next year on the Arrested Development set

  • Who's the best American Stand-up on the scene today?

Im not up on my stand comics but I have seen Ricky Gervais and thought to myself and said it is a shame that stand up isn't as big as it was in the 80's. Can't wait to see Eddie Murphy host the Oscars. Will be great to see him back on stage

  • It is becoming more popular for Film actors to return to TV shows, would you consider this now, or in the future?

Definitely in the future but probably not for a while - I'm getting alot of flattering opportunities so I want to stick with film for now

Friday I will be safety out of Ireland so I will be able to route for the US

  • did you ever give stand up comedy a go? or would you?

I think that I would although I would be afraid - it is a whole different talent to tell stories with out a script. I'm trained to tell stories on what others have written so I guess it would be really hard.

  • hey Jason!u rock! what's your idea of the perfect day?

Thank you you roll! The perfect day would be driving my kid to school, going for a run, having some lunch, booking a job, picking my kid up from school, having a nice dinner with my wife and the Dogders winning

  • What do you think of Irish comedy and our sense of humour in general?Do you have a favourite Irish comedian/tv show/film?

It is call ID Theft and it is about her character who steals my ID - released next year. We start shooting in April.

  • you must have turned down a number of scripts, what were the one you regretted most, and which was the one you were most glad about?

You would be surprised that there are not alot of good jobs that come your way sometimes. If you get a good script ya do it. I've done all the good stuff that I have been sent. Originally I wasn't going to do Juno but Im glad now

  • Who is your celebrity doppleganger?

Sometimes I get Ewan McGregor or Jerry O Connell or Nathan Fillion

Humm - em I don't know a tree. I like Japanese Maple Trees so I bought one of these - It wasn't that expensive but it was still weird to write to a cheque for a tree

  • if you could have three people dead or alive over for a dinner party who would they be??

Hi - I would like Beethoven there, I would like eeeem Thomas Jefferson and I would like Bill Murray

  • What was it like briefly working with Captain Hoffleton in Knight Rider all those years ago?

It was cool because at the time I was too young to drive but got to sit in the car! I was a fan of the show as a kid. Actually behind the seat there was a piece of mesh and there was a guy sitting in the back of the car actually driving it....

  • Your character in Juno made me a little uncomfortable, how did it feel to play that role?

I liked it cause the guy was very human - some people think I was trying to sleep with her and others thought I was just trying to befriend her - it was the latter. It is interesting that people think the other - maybe look at yourself *smiles*

Bill Murray or Gene Wilder as they are my favs in comedy terms - actresses I would love to ...I mean its boring but Meryl Streep or Melissa MaCarthy. I'm working with Melissa soon

  • how difficult was it playing ryan reynolds interpretation of Mitch in the change up? Did you spend much time studying each other

No we didn't want to do an impression of one another as we aren't that talented - any similarities were accidental I'm afraid

  • Do you ever get any letters addressed to 'Master Bateman'?

The 1st I ever remember getting was from my uncle - he is British so I think he meant - a young guy who is a Young Master - but maybe he didn't like my Dad so was making fun of him and his second name

  • Loved you in horrible bosses. If you weren't an actor, what would you be doing?

Thank you. I really like houses so maybe an architect but I'm awful at maths so maybe have someone who is good with maths to help with that

  • Are there any plans for more Arrested Development?? Greatest TV comedy ever.

Things are looking good for us to start working on that next year - I can't give anything official right now - maybe in the next month or two but hopefully it'll happen next year.

  • What film have you most enjoyed filming to date?

It may sound weird but The Change Up was great as I loved acting with Ryan Reynolds. We've known each other a long time
