We've said it many times before, but we'll say it again because it bears repeating - Predator is up there with some of the best movies of the '80s.
While it's essentially just a dumb action blockbuster with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura, it's gone on to become a cult classic and is endlessly quotable - thanks to John and Jim Thomas' whip-smart dialogue and a polish or two by screenwriting legend Shane Black.
But could you imagine it as a rom-com? Specifically, an '80s rom-com ala Overboard or Mystice Pizza? Because that's what the Metro Cinema in Edmonton, Alberta did with their 30th anniversary of Predator. The poster, designed by Borys Tarasenko, looks pretty incredible and if they're selling prints, we want one.
Take a look and see for yourself.
There's no word yet if they're actually making it available for print, but there does appear to be a physical copy of it in the cinema itself - so if you happen to be in Edmonton, Alberta and you see them selling prints of it, pick us up one and we'll hook you up when you're in Dublin next.
