Ugh, let's get this over with.

You might recall that we did a report a few months back on the possibility of a Masters Of The Universe reboot. That atrocity of an idea was supposed to have monosyllabic 'director' McG at the helm, however there was nothing in the way of a release date or anything close to a reality.

In fact, McG was only in talks to take on the role. However, it now appears that McG has signed on as director and what's more, he's looking for candidates to play He-Man.

But who could possibly take on such a complex and diverse role like He-Man? Who has that depth of emotionality and range to play a character such as this? Daniel Day-Lewis? Morgan Freeman?

No, this is a job for Kellan Lutz. You know, that guy who was in the OTHER Hercules film. Exactly. Anyway, Lutz took to Twitter where he announced that he was talking to McG and that the film is moving forward and that it's "in good hands".

Good hands? This is the guy who did Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Think about that for a minute, Lutz.

Thankfully, there doesn't appear to be a release date for this atrocity of a film. The previous attempt from the '80s starred Dolph Lundgren as He-Man whilst Frank Langella - yes, that brilliant actor from Frost / Nixon - played Skeletor.

Skeletor, people. Come on, like.
