Alex Garland's follow-up to Ex Machina, Annihilation, will not receive a theatrical release in Ireland.
The news was confirmed by Paramount Ireland earlier today, with Variety reporting that the film is to be released internationally on Netflix on March 12th. The film, which had a budget of $55 million, stars Natalie Portman, Oscar Isaac, Tessa Thompson and Jennifer Jason Leigh, and sees Portman lead a dangerous expedition into an environmental disaster zone to find out what gravely injured her husband.
The film is Alex Garland's second as director, and is based on Jeff VanderMeer's novel of the same name. Here's the trailer.
