It’s been nearly twenty years since the stoner duo graced our big screens in the original ‘Strike Back’ movie and director and star Kevin Smith has confirmed that the sequel will shoot ‘in the fall’.

Jason Mewes will return as ‘Jay’ alongside Smith who confirmed that he was planning to assemble “an all-star cast of cameos and familiar faces”.

The titular duo will return to Hollywood to stop a reboot of a movie based around their superhero dopplegangers, Bluntman and Chronic.

"So while I love playing with someone else's new toys on The Flash and Supergirl, I'm getting eager to play with my old toys again in the inter-connected View Askewniverse I spent the first half of my career creating,” said Smith, announcing the project.

“And so all last month, I had the time of my life laughing while writing Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.”

No release date for the sequel has been revealed just yet.
