Although the second movie - 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald' - hasn't even reached cinemas yet, JK Rowling's already at work on the third one.
In a Q&A session on her website yesterday, Rowling revealed that she has now begun work on the third movie and has set another children's book after work is completed on that. The billionaire author made her screenwriting debut with 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them', which pulled a whopping $812.5 million in box office revenue on its release in 2016.
'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald' is already shaping up to do big box office, especially with an all-star that includes Jude Law as Dumbledore, Eddie Redmayne and Johnny Depp returning as Newt Scamander and Gellert Grindelwald. The movie, however, hasn't been without controversy - which is an odd thing for something surrounding the YA genre, really.
Rowling previously fielded criticism over allowing Johnny Depp to return as Grindelwald for the sequel, and responded by saying that "the filmmakers and I are not only comfortable sticking with our original casting, but genuinely happy to have Johnny playing a major character in the movies."
Not only that, there's been issues with the fact that Dumbledore - whom Rowling confirmed was gay after the Harry Potter series had been published - will not be explicitly gay in 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' and even drew admonishment from the likes of Ian McKellen.
