Although you might think it's somewhat heretical to even think about a sequel to 'Mary Poppins', it looks like 'Mary Poppins Returns' is doing its best to tap into the sweetness and the charm of the original.
The new trailer showcases some of the live-action/animation sequences that made the original stand out in 1964, not to mention the return of screen icons Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury, as well as Meryl Streep and Julie Walters in there as well. What's obviously going to sell it is, of course, the music and the songs - but given how Lin-Manuel Miranda of 'Hamilton' fame is in there, it's got a lot going for itself.
As well as a new trailer released, there's also this very retro-inspired poster to go along with it. 'Mary Poppins Returns' flies in (see what we did there) to Irish cinemas on December 21st.
