It seems that we may not have heard the last of the 'James Gunn/Guardians of the Galaxy' fallout, as the cast - including Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper - have all gotten personally involved in the drama.
Gunn was fired from his role as director of 'Guardians of the Galaxy 3' earlier this month, after tweets that he had written years ago that made crass jokes about paedophilia and rape resurfaced.
Since then, his brother Sean has called for his reinstatement - and now the rest of the 'Guardians' cast have followed suit by signing their names to an open letter.
The letter says that the cast "are not here to defend his jokes of many years ago", but wished to express their support for him. "The character he has shown in the wake of his firing is consistent with the man he was every day on set," the letter said, "and his apology, now and from years ago when he was first addressing these remarks, we believe is from the heart - a heart we all know, trust and love."
It also warns that "instances like this will continue" due to the "growing political divide in this country."
