The cast of Wonder Woman 2 is shaping up nicely.
We already know that Gal Gadot and Chris Pine are returning for the sequel (as is Patty Jenkins to direct, yay!), with Kirsten Wiig joining them in the villainous role of Cheetah.
Variety has now revealed that Pedro Pascal has signed on to play a ‘key role’ in the follow-up to 2017’s hit superhero movie. Patty Jenkins and Pascal previously worked together on the TV movie Exposed.
Pascal is renowned for his role as Javier Peña in Narcos. He also played Oberyn Martell in HBO’s Game of Thrones – though his character did meet a crushing (sorry) ending in season 4.
He also starred in last year’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and will star in The Equaliser 2 opposite Denzel Washington later this year.
