If you played 'Sonic The Hedgehog', the name of the first stage should be burned into your head because, come on, it's a classic.
We are, of course, referring to Green Hill Zone and that infectiously upbeat music from it that you can no doubt hear playing in the back of your mind. Anyway, the first set photo from the upcoming live-action 'Sonic The Hedgehog' movie has revealed a familiar locale and it's none other than Green Hill - minus the zone part, obviously.
Here's the image in question.

So, what can we expect? Giant loops and one of those progress markers? Probably not. Jim Carrey is set to play Dr. Robotnik in the live-action movie alongside James Marsden, who'll play the sheriff of Green Hill whilst 'Breaking In' star Tika Sumpter is also set for an unspecified role in the movie.
There's still no word yet on who'll be voicing Sonic The Hedgehog or even if Tails will play a role, but the whole thing sounds so nuts that it's either going to be truly incredible or absolutely awful and not unlike the ill-fated 'Super Mario Bros.' movie of the '90s with John Leguizamo and Bob Hoskins.
In the meantime, here's a reminder of that infectiously catchy Green Hill Zone music.
