No one was quite sure what to make of the ending to Avengers: Infinity War (don’t worry, we won’t spoil it – but seriously, get on that!) which pretty much put the fate of all its characters in limbo.
Who exactly is back for Avengers 4 all seems a bit up in the air now, but one actor who is adamant that he will be back is Dave Bautista.
The wrestler turned actor plays Drax, who appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ahead of Infinity War.
In an interview with Den Of Geek US for his upcoming film Hotel Artemis, the actor was asked if he’ll be back in either 2019’s Avengers 4 or Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.
Bautista reportedly laughed and answered: “I don’t know if I was supposed to, but I believe that I’ve already said publicly that I am in both.”
How or when Drax will return remains a mystery as Bautista said: “I don’t even know. I haven’t read the script for either, and, you know, I’ve talked to James [Gunn, Guardians writer/director].”
Upon being asked which of the two films is he more looking forward to, he was more certain. “I’m more excited about Guardians 3, obviously,” he said. “It’s just much nearer and dearer to my heart. So I don’t ask to see the script and I don’t want to know about it until he’s actually written it. And then I want to read it and just say I love it, ‘cause it’s always great.”
